Privacy Policy

SplitBite is a free personal project made to help groups split receipts fairly. It is not a commercial product, and it does not require account creation.

What we collect: first names you enter to join a session, and receipt item text extracted from receipt photos by AI. We do not store your receipt photos.

How we use data: only to run the split flow for your active session - showing participants, receipt items, and totals.

How long we keep data: session data is automatically deleted after 48 hours.

Third-party services: SplitBite uses Supabase to store session data and Anthropic Claude API to process receipt images.

No selling or tracking: SplitBite does not sell your data, does not use cookies for tracking, and does not run ad-tech profiling.

Children: this app is not intended for users under 13.
